it's all right You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. WORDS 185 NOTES oh my goodness sorry about the wait. | The Espurr recoiled as Quixote approached, quickly taking temporary refuge behind a bush. It held the locket tight as if it were a precious belonging, raisings its ears and revealing its second set of gleaming eyes in a defensive maneuver. It gave a few mewls and grunts as a warning.
Ross shook his head.
“Yo. Guy. It’s all right.”
Scrags was about to confront the cat Pokemon, but Ross bent down and held him back.
“I know that Pokemon. It was following me around the whole time I was here, staring at my locket. It must have swiped it with a psychic-type attack.
The Espurr opened the locket, and a glowing, psionic illusion hovered over the existing image- two male Meowstick holding one another with a tiny Espurr smiling beneath them. Is this how Espurr saw the photo?
“Must’ve detected some sort of energy that reminded ‘em of home. I think… I can always take another photo of me and the guy and find another place to keep it. That little guy is probably gonna look at it way more often than I ever would.”

["Mon amie..."] (translators note: bracketed speech is just a rough translation of quioxte's grunting)
Quixte shook it's lances about for a while, staring at the Espurr. The conversation wasn't really going anywhere, especially when the Espurr was hiding behind the bush and not really taking any part in the conversation. Not that it mattered. The message was delivered, especially when the Espurrs vision of the picture was shown. Quioxte stared at it for quite the while before placing one lance against the ground, scribbling (quite badly) a picture of many karrablasts and shelmets. The natural evolution process was long and required a bond between the two species, especially if there was no trainer to act as a sort of catalyst for the two species to mix and match their features. Finishing the drawing would take a long while.
Guy looked over to Ross, and then the two pictures. He squinted his eyes just a bit. He felt slight frustration at not being able to help the youth that reminded him of himself from so long ago. Their differences were great, yes, but the boy just screamed of his past, and he hated it. But he didn't hate the boy. He seemed to be a decent person, even if he looked like he'd shank you in the street corner if you didn't give him your lunch money.
"I suppose. Espurrs aren't dumb, but they can get attracted to the strangest things at times... Maybe because of their psychic abilities linking with the item in question. But, Ross. Who's the man in that picture."
