[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"] Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything [attr="class","nabody"]she had made it a habit to travel in trousers. denim was a preferable option, actually. but anything with thick enough material that could offer her legs some form of protection against itchy grass or stabbing thorns also worked. eliza had made the poor choice of shorts quite a while ago, but, after acquiring a few scratches and some form of rash the young woman had decided against traversing the wilds in such clothing. "not too many clouds. they said the weather would be decent, though," she commented, licking her lips. putting her trust in the media she had selected this particular route for re-exploration, deciding to take a moment to appreciate the unpredictability of the wilds. eliza disliked such things when they were whole fully unnecessary - but nature handled such a concept so well. one hadn't a clue what they could run across out here. and that was positively thrilling, wasn't it? she decided to stick to the route, at first, getting her muscles working so that she could move about without cramping or growing too sore too early. i haven't seen too many pokemon, either, she thought. which is good. i should be careful, though. not too much noise. stay on the path.a smile found its way onto her face as she continued onward. bunnelby male 100% health mischievous | wild bunnelby appeared! A small nose twitched as wide eyes stared down a Burmy hanging high in a tree. The bug seemed to taunt him by being so high above, and he could just feel the smugness from the Burmy. Yet, in truth, the poor bug was asleep. His nose twitched again, and he grew bored of watching the sleeping bug. He dipped his head down, scooping up a clump of dirt in both ears. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he threw the first clump at the sleeping bug. He missed, completely off by about a foot. With a frown, he threw the next clump, only to miss once more. The dirt soared past the Burmy and tree and towards the nearby route path.
Ignoring the possible fact that he might have thrown dirt on an unsuspecting trainer, the rabbit continued its attempts, digging up more dirt and barreling them at the Burmy. One after the other, dirt clumps flung past the unaware bug until the Bunnelby finally hit his mark. Down the bug went, dropping the leaves that cloaked its body. The bug was quick to scramble for new leaves, cover its body while the Bunnelby triumphantly... left the object of his attention. Completely abandoning the now-fallen Burmy like a child's old toy, the rabbit pushed his way through the undergrowth until his reached the route's path.
He knew it was dangerous to walk on the path, but sometimes he just had to! Besides, it had the best dirt. The rabbit scooped up more in his ears just as the thought crossed his mind, but he paused with his ears curled around the clumps of dirt and mud. Wide eyes stared down the path at a woman. Trainer? Most likely. That mischievous glint returned as he took a hop in the direction of the woman, giving her only a thunderous thump of the foot in warning as he drew back one of his ears.
As if releasing a catapult, the dirt sailed through the air, straight for the woman. |

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"] Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything [attr="class","nabody"] she felt a clump of dirt come into contact with her upper thigh. yes, eliza did indeed take notice to the little beast when it at first appeared - but she had only been rendered idle because of the sighting. the thump clued her in to its hostile state, and she merely cocked her head and wince as she felt pain begin to radiate from the area. the contact had hurt, and eliza felt the stinging of flesh underneath the material. there was now a stain to be taken note of as of now, the filth clinging onto her trousers and dirtying the once clean article of clothing. swiping a small hand against the area she reached for her belt in-turn. i never liked ground-types, she thought. she wasn't one for dust or dirt or mud. it didn't suit her - it didn't fit the image she sought to build for herself. not at all, really. so, she did not view such a creature as a potential companion. no, this was an obstacle to be dealt with if it became necessary. the pokemon had behaved offensively, and could be considered a threat because of it. the tips of her fingers would brush against her worn capsules as she proceeded onward, her stride confident and her facial features stern as she neared it. "i'd suggest you move aside, please," eliza said, a frown upon her face. "it's either that or i make you." bunnelby male 100% health mischievous | wild bunnelby appeared! His other ear tightened around the clump of dirt that remained in its grasp, ignoring the soil that fell away and landed on his face or brushed down his side. He studied the woman, waiting to see her reaction, and a frown adorned his face. This was not what he was looking for. He wanted a larger response, something of disgust or surprise or even a hurried attempt to regain composure. It was why the Burmy's display had satisfied him to the point where he had lost interest. But this one? No, he wanted a better response.
Her words swam around in his head, not because he understood what she meant but rather the tone. He hadn't spent enough time around humans to understand their speech, but he could understand a threat when he heard one. With a twitch of the nose, his wide eyes narrowed at the woman. He took a few hops backwards as she neared, drawing back his other ear and releasing the remaining clump of dirt as he pushed the ear forwards. The Bunnelby rapidly thumped one of his feet against the ground, watching impatiently. He was not about to let this woman pass without giving him a reaction he was satisfied with. |

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"] Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything [attr="class","nabody"] "that's two." she had managed, just barely, to move aside before the well-sized clump made contact. it clipped her outer thigh, though, leaving a brown streak upon denim. her fingers curled; manicured nails digging into somewhat callous palms as she forced her agitation down and replaced it with something much better. "that means you're asking for it," she crooned. "now, i don't wanna be rude and deny a challenge when i see one." there was now a playful gleam in her eye as she clapped her hands together. her stern features were now replaced with a much more lax look as she realized there had been a challenge placed before her. "ya know, my pikachu has been teaching me a few things about taking down something your size. lesse how fast those reflexes are!" the words were chimed, a giggle in her voice as she delighted in such an opportunity. eliza hurried forward, a bounce in her step as she moved to execute a simple kick, intending to aim toward the ground-type's middle. her arms were half-raised, prettied features crinkled as she challenged the bunny to respond to her maneuvering. bunnelby male 0% health mischievous | wild bunnelby appeared! Oh dear, oh dear! This was not like he was used to. Most humans gripe at him and leave or give some sort of squeal and try to clean themselves. He was satisfied enough with this, but this woman's response? Honestly, it was starting to scare him. As she neared, continuing to speak despite the words barely registering on his ears, he began to rethink his life choices. His first instinct was to give a thump of alarm before shrinking back, twitching his ears while wide eyes focused solely on the woman. Wait, why was he just standing there? He could escape!
His ears plunged down into the dirt, but he was a moment too late. Before he could make his escape into the ground, the woman's foot made contact with his stomach. He was taken with the force, and heavy clumps of dirt ripped out of the ground as his ears were unable to keep their hold. Into the air the rabbit went with only a shrill squeak of pain and alarm echoing around him.
Were humans supposed to attack? They usually ran off or sent out their Pokemon to take care of the problem. As he landed in a patch of tall grass, one thing was for certain: he was going to have one large bruise in the morning.

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"] Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything [attr="class","nabody"] "oh! wow!" she giggled madly, unable to stop herself as she managed to deliver the single blow. "i haven't had a good fight in a while. it was... kinda short, though," she said, her elation deflating temporarily. blinking owlishly at the downed ground-type, eliza ran her fingers through her limp ponytail and twirled a few strands between her fingers. "can't do much about it, though. should i leave it?" tapping a finger against her chin, she considered her decision with care. after releasing a quiet breath, she moved to step around the pokemon and cast it an apologetic look. i'll leave it.
it was cute and all - but, the simple creature likely wouldn't meld well with her team. plus, it was despairingly weak. if a single kick could dwindle down its health than training it would be utterly time consuming. the idol already had her hands full with raising her kirlia, you see. "byebye," she crooned, peering over her shoulder as she walked past. when she felt as though she had prepped enough eliza had slipped into the more wooded area of the route. the trees were fairly spaced apart, the foliage thick and the shrubbery causing her to pause on occasion. the idol found such a setting appealing and nostalgic, reminded of her beginning because of it. soon enough, a quiet hum slipped out of her lips, and she then sung a song about a seamstress. it was oddly morbid, but she found it appealing, the tune clinging to her mindscape. azurill female 100% health carefree | wild azurill appeared! The young Azurill idly hopped on the round ball of her tail, humming a tune with no clear melody or rhythm. She had been told to wait by her mother. Wait for what? She didn't know, but wait she would do. If her mother wanted it, that is. Perhaps she was going to come back with a surprise? Maybe her favorite food? Oh! But that would require sneaking into the nearby human town, and she knew how dangerous that could be. Maybe. Or maybe the local Pokemon were just trying to scare her.
It didn't matter to her, though. She liked the time alone, as long as she didn't think about the trees that towers above her, the bird Pokemon that cawed and squawked from above, knocking down leaves as they took flight, or the potentially dangerous predators on the ground. Nope, she was not going to think about it. So, she bounced and bounced, waiting in the spot that her mother had told her to.
Yet a rustling in the undergrowth caught her attention, and while her first instinct was to run and hide, she remained where she was. Mother told her to wait, and wait she would. Then came a human, almost as tall as the trees--or, wait, no, she was just too short. "Azurill!" She chimed, a wide, innocent smile stretching across her blue body. Oh, wasn't she supposed to run and hide from humans? Or was she supposed to attack? Oh well. |
