biography Originally, Jean would have been born in Kanto if her mother had married her childhood sweetheart rather than the nouveau-riche nobleman that she did. Alas instead of growing up with humble roots, Jean was presented with the life of a modern princess. Anything she wanted she got which didn't very spoil her as give everything around her little to no value. It was all so easily obtained after all, what value was something that could be bought at the snap of a finger? Living in Lumiose for the majority of her childhood did little to clear her boredom, all of it being too common and already known to give much of a care about. She would have become a NEET if she hadn't been allowed to travel. Of course she stuck within the Kalos boundary but that was enough to inspire that not everything was gifted to her with a silver spoon. That came in the form of parkour, of which she learned from a small group of people running all throughout Kalos. Of course being the impressionable young lady that she was, she followed them; learning their ways and the satisfaction of working for her own gains. Plus having something to show off to the world was a little more than entertaining. The only thing that had ever been as satisfying as that was when she learned how to play a violin good enough to enter competitions. In some time Jean would find herself glued to Shalour. Whether her parents approved or not, she was invited to study under the previous Gym Leader. She accepted. There were angry phone calls from her mother for weeks, at least she had her new legion of fighters to race and compete against whenever she got too irritating to handle. Between practicing gymnastics and the ever-present obligation to the Gym, Jean can honestly say its still all worth it. pokemon - ♀ Soie Just as her name implies, Soie is as smooth as silk. Calm and gentle, she fluidly takes care of the internal strife between the pokemon while also, on occasion; pampers an overheated Jean. She was Jean's first pokemon, a gift from her father when she was leaving home for the first time. Regenerator :: A good rest away from all the conflict can help a pokemon get some energy back, that's how it works for Soie. Power naps ftw! Aura Sphere - Fighting spirit warped into a shiny, blue ball that shoots out from Soie's mouth/paws. It never misses so don't even think about trying to escape the youth. * Meditate - By sitting still and focusing her mind, it strengthens one's resolve to punch things in the face. * Detect - Skillful avoidance from an attack the first time but it doesn't always work afterwards. Soie fluidly moves with grace in an attempt to dodge, her eyes will glow red with the extra pin-pointing accuracy. * Drain Punch - Soie's paws will glow a bright white while she attempts to punch/jab opponents, the energy saps the strength away from foes to heal up her own scratches and bruises. * Double Slap - Mainly used on the other pokemon when they start fighting for no good reason. Its the 'Mama's-Tough-Love' multi-slap. - ♂ Coton A feisty little kiddo who likes to pick fights with every living things that 'looks at him the wrong way'. This includes inanimate things like flowers and statues. Strangely enough he loves to cuddle and listen to Jean's violin. Vital Spirit :: No one can tell him when he sleeps! No one! Covet - Monkey see, monkey steal. You'll never know when he swiped something till its gone, gives those poor unfortunate souls a bruise to remember him by. Its not very strong though, mostly just annoying. * Leer - Look at him wrong? Don't worry he's looking at you the same way. Leering is like his hobby outside of battle... * Low Kick - A basic fighting move in which Coton will kick things in either the shin or the crotch. Depends on the height difference, still hurts either way. * Scratch - Using his (rather tiny) claws, he'll rake those across the faces of anyone who angers him. * Focus Energy - Surrounded in an aura that looks more Super Saiyan than martial art-like, Coton will get that dangerous glint in his eyes which tells he's just found (maybe) the foe's weakest point. * Assurance - A dirty little move that works better in double battles, Coton's paw will glow a faint pink-purple before slapping something in the face. If they've already taken damage than he makes sure to hit the bruises/scratches for extra damage. What a little troll. ♂ Cuir As tough as leather and as flirtatious as a swoobat. He trolls his fellow male teammates while showing off to females of every kind (including humans). He thinks he's so suave with that rose he carries around with him everywhere... He's the one who picks out Jean's formal clothes, a fashionista this one. Shed Skin :: Really gross but helps a lot whenever he manages to get stuck with something nasty. Paralysis? Poison? Burns? Frostbite? Hah! He laughs in the face of status problems. Feint Attack - You can see his flirt coming, you can't see his attack. Melting into the air itself (or that's what it looks like), he never misses when he kicks/headbutts/bum-rushes the target. * Low Kick - Every gigolo needs his escape plan from the jealous male. That's what Cuir uses his basic kicking move on mostly, making shins hurt before he runs away cackling. Or at least further back. * Sand Attack - By digging his foot into the sand, Cuir will kick up a thick layer of dust into another's eyes no matter how big they may be. Ninja-move - partial disappearing act! Or maybe not so much. * Brick Break - Barriers are nothing to one who can karate-chop/kung-ho kick right through them. Cuir destroys barriers like he destroys his rivals while still managing to get a hit in on the foe. * Chip Away - Through discipline (or just really good luck), Cuir's kicks manage to find their targets true no matter what kind of boosting trick they used. An opening is an opening. ♂ Velours A devious baby that desires to be babied, he clings to Jean like a Kangaskhan baby. Timid against larger pokemon than himself but has proven he'll gladly take underhanded methods to get what he wants. Loves lullabies and juice. Dry Skin :: Poor thing needs lots of water and lotion but he can absorb water attacks/moves! Too bad fire hurts a tad bit more than it should. Astonish - Velours stares at his targets... then he'll suddenly shout without warning. Sometimes it'll cause them to be so surprised they won't be able to move, if they haven't tried to take the priority. * Mud-Slap - Some pokemon like to spit water in people's face, others fire... Velours spits a sheet of mud in someone's face. Really gross but it effectively makes it harder for them to see if he aims it right. Doesn't hurt much at all but its more painful than normal sand. * Poison Sting - Taking in a breath of air his cheek sacs will inflate until he spits out a rain of purple needle-shaped drops. It doesn't hurt all that much but it has a chance of sticking a needle into the target for a good amount of nasty poisoning. * Taunt - For someone who dislikes battling so much he sure does know how to be a troll. He'll dance around and otherwise annoy another pokemon so that they can't do anything but attack. Coton has a rival for best troll yet. * Pursuit - He doesn't like it when a pokemon tries to run away, switching out is out of the question! A normal his of his shadow-flubber-fingers isn't so bad, its when they switch that it'll really hurt the runaway. For some reason he gets really fast with this, always striking first. * Revenge - ...How dare they hit him first! If he's faster then everything is good, if not... well... A roundhouse kick to the head will solve that problem with some extra 'umph'. - Plume The stoic, silent type who isn't nearly so 'neutral' as they may seem. They constantly pick a fight with Soie but lose every time despite being part flying type. They love challenges and more often than not are the ones running the track with Jean. A real sore-loser. Limber :: Paralysis means nothing to them. Detect - Paying attention goes a long way, the first time around Plume can deftly avoid an attack. The next time..? They have the worst of luck. * Hone Claws - Plume uses their own claws to begin sharpening their talons/claws. * Aerial Ace - That wing cape isn't just for show, like a bird they are able to jump up and swoop down for an unavoidably fast dive. You can see a beam of light following their figure. * Roost - A quick bird rest, every wrestler needs their minute break even if it leaves them open for attack. Restores the youth-energy. * Karate Chop - A basic fighting move involving the hand/paw/claw rather than the foot. Plume's favorite place to hit with this move is on the head. inventory -∞ - TM98 Power-Up Punch | TM given to the victors of the Shalour Gym. -Rumble Badge∞ | Badge given to the victors of Shalour Gym. | ooc info ☆ NAME memoir ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS n/a ☆ FACE CLAIM VOCALOID v Flower, de'Chevalier, Jeanne ☆ TIMEZONE UTC-7:00 |
